Pendants

Pendants on a single bead strand are, at this point in time, the most popular necklace style. Our pendants are selected for quality gemstones and workmanship in precious metals. We offer a broad price range to allow selection of the right price for your jewelry making project. Pendants can stand alone on a simple chain or cord, but they are more often incorporated with metal, glass, or gemstone beads. Smaller pendants can be used for earrings, but the larger ones are primarily a necklace component.

Attaching a pendant to a necklace is generally pretty easy, unless one wants to have the pendant's bail go over a bead strand. (A bail is a loop attached to the pendant.) If beads must go through the bail, then careful measurements should be made or a new bail may be required. Bails are usually soldered onto the pendant, but in some cases may be pressed into drill holes in the pendant with prong ends on the bail.

Due to the varying nature of materials used in pendants, we cannot assign any special care warnings or hardness measurement. However, if the pendant is studded with gemstones, see the care for the gemstones. In the case of silver pendants, avoid harsh chemicals, especially bleach and swimming pool chlorine.
